Our stay north of Detroit with my cousin Mark and his wife Roseanne was wonderful. Mark and I are have been close like brothers and we really enjoyed spending time together. We went boating, talked about computers and visited an aviation museum. It was great catching up and having fun.
sat night we had an impromptu cousin's party. 8 of the 26 first cousins on my dad's side of the family were there plus an aunt and uncle. A good time was had by all. Many thanks to all of my Michigan relatives for making us feel so welcome.
We left early Sunday morning for the Leelanau peninsula of MI. Our campsite is on a bluff overlooking lake Michigan and we can see both sunrise and sunset from our site. The lake is very clear and really not that cold. I went out swimming in it this afternoon. It was very pleasant. Here is a picture of our campsite. We have a 180 degree view of the lake and can see both sunrise and sunset from our site.
More to follow on the Leelanau experience.
